BSS: Kennaugh joins Linxcel-Seton.

British Supersport runner-up Hudson Kennaugh will return to the series in 2009 after penning a deal to race with Linxcel Europe and Seton Tuning.

The South African rider was the closest challenger to eventual champion Glen Richards in 2008 aboard the Raceways Yamaha, winning three races and starring on the world stage at Donington Park with a top five finish.

However, while the Australian graduates to Superbikes next year, Kennaugh will remain in Supersports for another year in an attempt to secure the title this time around. Kennaugh was delighted to secure the deal, though, and is confident he will be the rider to beat in 2009.

“It is great to be involved with a team that has performance at the forefront of their aims,” he said. “I am confident that the Linxcel-Seton Tuning Team will provide me the equipment and the backing necessary for me to achieve my goals in 2009.”

Managing director Phil Seton was also thrilled to have secured the services of what will arguably be a title favourite in 2009.

'We are very pleased and excited to have secured the services of such a high profile and talented proven race winner, as Hudson. This is only our second season in the British Supersport Championship and last year we showed great promise but we need more consistent front running and Hudson plays an important part in our 2009 strategy.

“I am also looking forward to working with Linxcel Europe Ltd. for another season. We owe a lot to our title sponsor for their dedicated support and would like to thank them for continuing their support into 2009.”

A second rider will be announced in due course.

Did kennagh not leave raceway because he though the bike could not get any better, is the Linxcel-Seton package any better? probably not! a good rider when hes at the front, if hes not in the first 3 he loses heart and falls back. not a fighter!!!!
