Jake Dixon has sent out a message to his MCE British Superbike championship Showdown rivals by grabbing pole position at Oulton Park for RAF Reserves Kawasaki ahead of Shane Byrne and Josh Brookes.

Fresh from signing a deal to stay with the RAF Reserves Kawasaki squad for 2018, Dixon made the most of his impressive free practice pace to take pole by 0.124s ahead of defending BSB champion Byrne with Anvil Hire Yamaha’s Brookes completing the front row having held provisional pole position before the final laps.

After his maiden BSB win at Silverstone Dan Linfoot placed his Honda on the front of the second row and ahead of JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam as less than two-tenths of a second split the top five riders in a very tight qualifying session.
