Shane 'Shakey' Byrne shrugged off a high-speed fall in race one in the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch to clinch his 49th success in the series in the second encounter.
Byrne had been challenging Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes for the lead in the first race when he lost the front end of his Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki ZX-10R at Hawthorn.
His team rebuilt his machine for race two and Byrne never seriously looked troubled as he held Milwaukee Yamaha's James Ellison at bay, leading from start to finish to make amends in convincing style.
Byrne's victory has given the triple BSB champion a lead of 21 points at the top of the standings over Samsung Honda's Alex Lowes, who grabbed the final rostrum place behind Ellison.
Lowes is a single point in front of race one winner Josh Brookes, who could only finish fourth in the second race after a superb effort in the opener.
Byrne surged into the lead from the off, hotly pursued by pole man Ellison with Lowes, Brookes and Kiyonari next.
The Kawasaki star continued to lead when the safety car was brought onto the course after Lee Costello fell at Sheen Curve.
After the incident was cleared, Byrne put the hammer down once more but he was unable to break Ellison's resolve as the former MotoGP man shadowed the ZX-10R with Lowes in touch in third.
With five laps remaining, Byrne's advantage over Ellison was around half-a-second with Lowes clear of Brookes and Kiyonari further back.
Ellison began to apply some pressure on Byrne on lap 14 but the outcome seemed inevitable and Byrne remained steadfast at the head of the pack.
