Camier doubles up

Further down the pack, Julien Da Costa came in eighth, followed by Tom Bridewell and Gary Mason. Bridewell passed Mason at Leslie's late on to ensure he once again ended up P9 and more importantly came out top in the Mirror.co.uk Cup category.

In total 19 riders were classified at the finish of the 30 laps and there were four retirements - namely John Laverty, who crashed out on lap 4, while technical problems stopped Ian Lowry (lap 8) and Karl Harris (lap 20).

Michael Rutter also failed to finish for Worx Crescent Suzuki. He had been running fifth, until he went off at the Real Radio Hairpin on lap 21. He then sat on the sidelines and watched the remainder of the race.

The 2009 ViSK.com British Superbike Championship now continues in two weeks time when the competitors head to Mallory Park.

Absolutely, cos the weather was perfect for racing on Sunday so conditions were good for lap times. It's getting rather too predictable though for my liking, can't SOMEONE take the fight to Leon? (Sylvain, come back soon!)
