Brookes scythes to Thruxton victory

In addition to Rutter, there was more Kawasaki-related disappointment as Gary Mason and Freddy Foray failed to finish, the latter feared to have injured his shoulder after crashing at Seagrave.

In the overall standings, Lowry's scorecard of 4-1-5 has seen him assume the advantage in the championship table, ahead of Brookes, Kirkham, Hill, Byrne and Easton.

Some good racing today. Good to see Lowry win for Padgetts earlier. Brookes rode brilliantly in 2nd race to take win. Its gonna be a good season in BSB this year with no gizmos :) The thing that stood out for me today though was after a poor Qualifying session yesterday was Stuart Easton after last years horror smash where he could have possibly never ridden again to be up there in both races and challenging for the win in the 2nd is fantastic to see.

Tw*t - the person stood behind Brookes while Whitham was talking to him during his grid walk for race two. This guy kept following Whitham and the camera trying to get his ugly mug on the tv - and he failed miserably to get whatever he had written on his piece of paper to be seen by the camera.
