Michael Laverty on top set for first time this season at Snetterton

Gowland overhauled his WFR Honda team-mate Lowes in the dying stages to seal fifth behind Lowry, with Chris Walker (Pr1mo Bournemouth Kawasaki), Stuart Easton (Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki), James Westmoreland (WFR Honda) and Patric Muff on the Supersonic BMW the top ten.

There was more misery for Alastair Seeley on the second Tyco Suzuki who finished outside the points again in 16th position.

Brookes (124) has now dislodged Hill at the top of the championship standings by a single point, with Byrne third on 108 points and Laverty into fourth place after his victory and runner-up finish at Snetterton on 81 points.

We know that Hill went out. Good informed reporting would be explaining WHY Hill went out. (My money's on electronics, probably a sensor, because it briefly came back to him then became hopeless).
