Snetterton BSB: Lowes takes race one win

Alex Lowes has taken his second MCE British Superbike victory of the season, during race one at Snetterton.

The Samsung Honda rider, who began the race from pole, had dropped to third when an early safety car was called to clear up a technical failure for Tommy Bridewell.

After the restart, Lowes made short work of title leader Shane Byrne (Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki) and then Josh Brookes, eventually winning by 1.984s from the Tyco Suzuki rider.

James Ellison (Milwaukee Yamaha), Ryuichi Kiyonari (Samsung Honda) and James Westmoreland (Buildbase BMW) completed the top six.

Lowes is now one point behind Brookes for second in the standings heading into race two.
