Oulton Park BSB: Irrepressible Byrne captures landmark 50th victory

On the final lap Lowes went down at Lodge as he chased Brookes for second, gifting team-mate Kiyonari the final place on the rostrum behind Byrne and Brookes, who held station to claim the top two places with only 0.173s separating the pair.

Tommy Bridewell finished in a sensational fourth place on the Halsall Racing Kawasaki to give his new team its best result in the championship, well clear of Buildbase BMW's Jon Kirkham and PJ Jacobsen on the Tyco Suzuki, who completed the top six.

Dan Linfoot (Lloyds British GBmoto Honda), Keith Farmer (Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki), James Westmoreland on the Buildbase BMW and Howie Mainwaring (Tsingtao WKbikes Kawasaki) were the first ten.
Chris Walker was forced out of the race with gearbox trouble.
