Donington double for Kiyonari.
Ryuichi Kiyonari did the double at Donington Park after taking a dominant victory in the last race of the 2004 British Superbike championship.
He took the second race win as well as the first ahead of HM Honda team-mate Michael Rutter.
Kiyonari again dominated the race from the front, with Rutter around three seconds behind.
From the start Hawk Kawasaki's Glen Richards followed Kiyonari into the first corner closely followed by Rutter, Scott Smart, Yukio Kagayama, John Reynolds and Sean Emmett.
Unfortunetly for Hawk, the Australian Richards fell on the second lap going through the fast Craner Curves, as he tried to fend off an attack from behind from Rutter.
Kiyonari quickly went about securing a comfortable lead, making over two seconds in two laps over second place. By the time Rutter had moved into second, Kiyonari was vanishing on the horizon.
This couldn't discourage Rutter however and the Honda rider went about trying to catch the young gun, setting a new lap record, previously broken by Kiyonari in race one, on the following two laps. His final lap record at 1min 32.033secs was well inside the record held before the meeting by the late Steve Hislop.
Sean Emmett was also charging hard, trying to impress to secure a ride for next season. The London based rider fought from seventh to fifth after taking championship winner Reynolds on the sixth lap, and making a place when Richards fell.
Scott Smart then handed Emmett another place when he temporarily lost the front end of his Kawasaki and slipped back to 14th.
Emmett wasted no time in catching Kagayama who he took at the end of the start finish straight on the ninth lap to take third place where he stayed, apart from a brief retake by the Japanese rider, for the remainder of the race.
Smart, now in 14th, had a big job to do to catch his championship rival Kagayama who was now in fourth.
He quickly set about the job by passing five rider's in one lap, and found himself behind Reynolds by the 14th lap, albeit by a 3.1secs deficit. This he made up over the following few laps to be on Reynolds rear tyre by the 17th lap.
