What will the weight limits be? And what happens to those weight limits if Ducatis are racing?
The weight limits are as the current superbike rules, 162kg for four cylinder machines and 168kg for twins, however it can be reviewed. There was an idea to have a higher limit for the EVO bikes but that actually handicaps the EVO machines against the FIM-spec machines. If there are any amendments to weights it will be on a model basis not an engine configuration basis. So if the Suzuki has weight added the same doesn’t apply to all four-cylinder machines.
It's the FIM spec bit i wanted to post up so it would seem that is confirmed, they are the same spec, no excuse
