I see your point, Jon... and at least you have vocalised it in a non chest-beaty "WOOMAN IN MAN SPORT BAAAAD" way!
But when she says "Made a deal" to compete that probably means sponsorship and image that keeps a team alive, something which happens at every level of every sport. Who'd have ever thought in the 70's that we would see sponsor logos on tennis players' shirts?
Just look at the losses some Premiere League football teams have recently announced - they'd be even deeper in the mire without sponsorship. So yes, there is probably a degree of 'money talks, bull**** walks' in this.
On the other hand, she is a very capable and skilled racer. There are plenty other riders not of her standard in BSB and BSS, not to mention WSBK, that are there through more money and less talent than Jenny.
Maybe it will work out, maybe it will not, but at least she is giving it a try!
