Er, not really. He only 'chose' to leave 125GP in the same way that Marc Marquez 'chose' to stay in Moto2 AFTER he couldn't get a sponsorship deal sorted that would allow him to move up to MotoGP. On the other hand, if Mackenzie's on a larger more competitive bike, it will be no bad thing because he wasn't going to attract much positive interest with the results he was getting in 125s.
