MM, may I start by agreeing with your regret at the loss of 2strokes however, I am confused as to how you think that their replacement is responsible for more stoppages due to track contamination. In particular the disruption today was caused by fuel spillage. Obviously 2 strokes carry fuel and, if anything, their fuel, being as it is mixed with oil is a worse potential contaminate. Also, we are talking about crash damage and, 2 strokes also carry gear oil and oil-based coolant similarly to 4 strokes which are equally susceptible. I read your concerns about oil lines but, generally the spills are caused by engine case damage which can also occur when 2 strokes crash. However good call from Stuart Higgs, interesting to see that he looked as fed-up with the situation as everybody else.
