The temptation to come back too soon is one which haunts most racers. It would be a great pity if the effort and pain of the physio of the last few weeks was wasted and he aggravated the injury before it had healed properly. If it is true that he has a 50/50 chance of riding at Donington, I would interpret that as him possibly being able to ride with, and despite of, his injury, which indicates that the healing process is probably incomplete. He would be well advised to allow the injury to heal properly and deliver himself into the shoot-out fully fit and ready to fight.
We need a fully-fit Shakey in the shoot-out, otherwise it will be be at best a two horse race.
Tell 'im, Petra !
