I am not a fan of Splitlath or other teams but I know, for my experience working along riders and teams, that sometimes you need that special somebody that gets you to the next level. Either because he's the kind of rider that has got a strong skill on telling mechanics how the bike works and to translate the feeling into words, or because he's the kind that ride over the problems and get the results whatever it takes.
I've seen so many teams that were **** on paper, that were **** on words from previous riders dumped and suddenly somebody those teams them into top ten in a blink of an eye. So, what was the changing factor? New spare parts? no. New mechanics? no.
Luckyly in motorcycle races the rider can still make the difference
