I was skeptical about this shootout stuff but there seems to be a few major advantages. Last year, I was happy if Hill won or Hopper but felt for Shakey because he had the most points but this year it is reversed so i cannot dwell on that now. With that said, it seems that making the top six gives a big competitive push in the middle of the season to make it which increases the spectacle. Once in the top six, any one has a reasonable shot and it forces those people to push really hard to possibly win the title! Look at Alex lowes (fairly low key all year) and then got a whiff and man... he lit it up although he crashed but it was exciting. I am liking this although I was slow to warm!!
