PICS: Harvey hits the track at Brands Hatch

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup champion Tim Harvey has returned to BTCC machinery today with a day of testing with Motorbase Performance at Brands Hatch.

Harvey, BTCC title winner back in 1992, hit the track at the wheel of the team's BMW 320si as David Bartrum's squad kick-starts a two day test at its home circuit.

As a member of the BRDC Rising Stars scheme, SEAT Cupra Championship title winner Jonathan Adam is also due to run with the team today, with SEAT Eurocup driver James Nash and Porsche racer Michael Caine set to take to the track on Wednesday.

Harvey took his BTCC title at the wheel of a BMW and admitted he was excited about the prospect of comparing the latest generation S2000 machinery to the cars he has raced in the past.
