WHAT???? this is so worrying!! BTCC needs some more manufacturer teams and quick, reallty hope does not slip into the bad times of early 2000's.
I know its great that Vauxhall are still in championship, but we dont want the Vauxhall BTCC championship only!!

The BTCC is ment to be the best Touring Car series in the world! (yes i am including the WTCC AND DTCC in that)

I guess its Worrying times ahead then!

Bad news!!! But at least the other teams wont need to get diesels to compete with the straight line speed. Far to quiet for my liking!

Do the words CREDIT CRUNCH mean anything?
Although SEAT sales have risen you will probably find with the small profit margins they cannot justify the money to compete anymore.

Sadly the BTCC has become a Vauxhall benefit for many years & it looks like it's more of the same for the future.........b***** great!!!

WOW!!!! Didn't se that one coming!! And Steve Neal reckons there will be three Manufacturers on the grid next year, Vauxhall and who else?? Maybe a BMW factory team, but can't think of another one!! So where will Mr Plato go now? Back to the fairground bumper cars!!!!! :p

Its a shame to see them go, whatever people think of the TDI's they were a welcome manufacturer on the grid and they did add an interesting extra factor into the races.

The loss of any of the larger teams from the BTCC is a shame, however we are lucky we have some fantastic non-manufacturer teams like WSR, GR Asia, M-Sport and Halfords who more than make up for the lack of manufacturers.

I wonder what Jason will do for next year, as if he wants to remain in the BTCC I take it he will have to go to an independent team, or see if he is offered a place in WTCC.

i don't think steve neil saw this one coming either. As i previously said, its a shame and i hope another manufacturer does enter so we're not back to the days of vauxhall domination. it really looked like this series was on the up again.
