I agree that Vaulkhard's move was poor, but it was not much worse than Gio's move on him earlier in the race. Taking this into account, and seeing that Jackson and Plato closing in, most people could probably see Vaulkard's desperate move coming a mile off, as could the TV commentators.

He's probably frustrated because he is not having a great season (by his high standards). Neal seems the be the most consistant Vauxhall driver, and Gio is playing catch up already.

Looks to me like Gio lunged at Vaulkhard to take the place then held him up for the remainder of the race, Harry had no choice but to make a pass or The works Chevs would have mobbed him, at least HV was alongside Gio when the contact was made unlike the initial move from Gio! Why wasn't he fined for his move on Harry? Also I saw the arguement in parc ferme after and it was obvious fabrizio is getting desperate and Vaulkhard was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Gio's initial 'pass' on Vaulkhard was pretty dire. Had Vaulkhard not been on the outside of him to slam into, Gio would have ended up off track. Quit your whining Fabrizio!

It was an unfortunate racing incident. BTCC has over the years been host to aggressive punts by Neal and Plato. Plato might have changed now he has his own team, but Neal is not averse to tipping the BMWs (usually Turkington). Speaking of Turk, he was tapped round by Jones.

At the end of the day it is up to the stewards to police the incidents before there is a major injury.

I've yet to watch the 2nd and 3rd race yet, but I've never been a fan of Gio, and ss others have said he certainly takes no prisoners in some of his 'passing' manuevers. Suck it up Gio. It's Racing.

Gio is unhappy about it! He was the culprit last year at Donington when he punted Tom Onslow-Cole at the chicane - Tom's response "that's racing".
It's a case of one rule for him and another for everyoneelse as far as he sees it seems!

Agreed.

Gio is a great touring car driver. But he is not afraid to use some dirty tactics as he sees fit.

Suck it up Gio.
