Thats harsh! Collard went wide then moved over cutting the front off of Nash's car, Obviously Nash doesnt want to be driven off the road so moves over and is unlucky to have caught the back of Collard. I think the stuards have got that one wrong, yes the outcome was bad but it was a racing incident.

I can't say I'm surprised. I agree he was unlucky and I don't believe it was intentional, but there was never a gap really to go for and Nash pretty much ran into the back, not even the side. I think a more experienced driver (not including Neal, Plato or indeed Collard himself) would have backed out of it.

Shame, cause I would have liked to see the win stand, but after seeing the multiple replays I think it would have been more harsh not to penalise him. If Collard had stayed in the race I'm sure it would have just been a time penalty instead.

Keep pushing James, there are still a lot of races before the season's out.

Sadly I agree with you - Matt Neal would have got away with something similar and that's where it is unfair. Also, because it's Collard, I think it's balance redressed for many of his more optimistic manoeuvres which have sent people into the wall before. However....he did run into the back of Collard's car and cause a lot of damage - just because we want him to win (myself included), letting it slip under the radar would only encourage others (Neal etc.)

it was just an unfortunate racing incident,if nash had gotten out of the throttle turkington was gonna collect him and possibly cause just as big an accident

I don't think Alan has much to do with that... he is still running a very successful championship too...

While I respect that Collard can certainly drive, somebody really needs to put him in his place and if it means penalties and a couple of big accidents for him, that's how it has to be. Obviously I don't want to see that, but it's never Rob's fault for anything, I was willing Matt Neal to take him off when they went side-by-side in the earlier race...
