With Motorbase, Silverline, Dynamics and WSR all yet to confirm plans for 2010, this could be a difficult year for the series. It was inevitable that some teams would struggle for this year, even with an all-indie grid theoretically making it easier for anybody to win.

I agree that the first gear change is a bad idea. The rear-wheel drive cars are at other disadvantages, and having a variety of performances off the line adds the the action.

I hate the new gear reg, stupid and removes an element of excitement that the BTCC had last year, ie the beemers getting off to a great start then getting reeled in in the latter stages as their advantage wore off. So now they've removed their advantage but all the other cars who have an advantage in the second half of the race get to keep THEIR advantage. Ridiculous :rolleyes:
