I think this is a great move - George is a favorite under-dog and with a good team and team mate like Paul behind (or in-front of!) him can probably be suprising and entertaining this season. Better to combine forces and funding than run as a singleton, or not at all.

Noooooooooooo!! Of all the drivers they could've had, they had to pick John George! I can think of at least twenty drivers more deserving of this seat than him! But I guess money talks these days, not talent.

I highly doubt that sunshine.co.uk have "given" him a drive. He's definatly paying for it, maybe subsided a little. If he has the money then he should go for it, who wouldnt? It will be his best chance yet so Good luck to him.

its funny on here how anyone who gets a drive is undeserving and the drive should have been given to another driver. Every driver is paying this season and the only drivers not paying at all last season were matt and gio. Im not talking to the majority, just the minority who know little about the btcc except what they see on ITV.

I agree with "Nevermind" John George has had to Pay for his seat! Yeah he crashes a lot but surely that adds to the Excitement of the BTCC? Being in a newer spec car with a team mate like Paul O"Neill can only give him more knowledge and hopefully we will see him on the podium this year!! As for Steven Kane? Perhaps he couldn"t raise the Sponsorship to take the seat at Sunshine.co.uk. we must remember that Motorbase dropped him last year, and they don"t do that without reason. i would love to see Steven Kane back out there and Dave Bartrum from Motorbase has said on record that he would love to work with him again, but unfortunanetly its all about who can bring the cash to the table!!

And while im on the subject of cash? If I had an endless pot of it, I would be out there in an RML run Chevrolet Lacetti and if I could keep up with John George then i would be more than happy!!
