I'm in two minds about whether he or Turkington would be better for the series. Still, it's a champion back on the grid, someone who's been involved in most of the classic races of the last four years, in a competitive car he knows - gotta be good news.

I didn't see that coming either! A bit disappointing really. I find "Gio" quite boring to watch. He doesn't exactly take risks does he? i find that he just hangs around waitinig to pounce if anyone else slips up!!! Well its another Champion on the grid so lets see what happens at the opener! Lets remember he won the first race at Thruxton in 2009 so we will soon see if he is competative!

No Turkington sadly, RAC scaling back their sponsorship of the team meant Colin needed his own sponsors, and he couldn't get anything sorted. WSR have kept a car aside for him if anythign can be sorted later in the year though - maybe he can start late similarly to Jackson last year.

Interesting to note that on the side of WSR's transporters, there are now 3 names listed, Collard, Neate AND Turkington - a sign of things to come I think!
