According to Autosport, the sponsor pulled out because the sponsorship actually brought *too much* interest and sales for the company, and they can't keep up with demand. I mean, what the hell? :? What an absolute joke! Here's the full quote from their spokesperson, taken from the Autosport website:

"We severely underestimated the impact that our brand exposure would have on the demand for certain products and services in the UK market, so to maintain sponsorship with Triple 8 would actually present us with a series of business problems," a UNIQ spokesman told this week's AUTOSPORT magazine.

The Sponsor, Uniq or whatever seems to have made up the most rubbish excuse ever!

I'm not sure what they do (so it cant have been that awsome)
Even if you had done so well you were overwelmed you would just take it. Now everybody knows them as people who leave good people in trouble when they have done very well!

Cheers UNIQ your well rubbish!

What is going on? After news broke about this on the btcc official website a further story was posted regarding James Nash in the sister car of Triple Eight! And i quote

"Blockbuster movie Avatar is having its imminent DVD and Blu-ray release promoted on James Nash's Uniq Racing with Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra in this weekend's Rockingham round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship."

So have uniq pulled out or dropped Phil Glew??? Depper is also out this weekend as he is stuck in Florida, Gio out Nash in? Whatever next? Maybe Dynamics will drop Shedden? Rob Collard will take his place to team mate his best buddy Matt Neal? And Turkington will have Collards BM?

I am gutted for Gio and Glew. What are UNIQ playing at by pulling out after the debut double wins at Thruxton? If other BTCC fans want to express their opinions, there's a feedback form on their uniqmotorsports dot com slash contact website. I have told them I will know to avoid their brand in future...
