Where are the stewards? I thought that there was a driving standards guy at these meetings? Much as I like Plato as a driver he should be disq'd fom this race.

If he wants to play dodgems he should go to the funfair, or at the very least short track banger racing.

These driving standards have been permitted for too long and Alan Gow needs to do something about it before somebody gets hurt.

Rant over :?

Oh get over it.

It was a nudge, damage made it look worse.

You only have to look at the tap John George did to see how easy a BTCC car bends.

It started to get slippy there was a slight nudge & the Plato Bashers come out.

DV6 - Get over nothing. The rules clearly state non contact and Plato clearly got a sizeable advantage. He had a quicker car and could have passed him cleanly.

While I agree that Plato's move was probably more aggressive than we're used to seeing from him....

I was hugely disappointed with TOC just letting Matt Neal through as soon as he cruised up behind him...poor show imo.

dv6. agreed. if every car that had contact was disqualified, nobody woulf finish a race! and whereas it may be said that it is "non contact", that does not exclude panel rubbing, nudging etc. platos touch was just a slight nudge, and there was no harm in it. neal kept it clean for ONCE, yesterday. his deliberate contact in previous races, goes well beyond acceptable contact.

If it had been anyone other than Plato, no one would of even posted a comment. Remember race 1 on sunday? T**t (rymes with Mat) Jackson punted Plato off big time and for that he got points on his licence, so the Clerk of the course is obviously taking these incidents seriously. Funnily enough Tom Onslow-Cole wasn't bothered by it, if you were watching live on ITV they interviewed him afterwards and he said as much! Lets go back to enjoying the racing and if people are punted deliberately they will surely be penalised. Dont forget every car carries a camera that is filming everything and these films are viewed rigourously if necessary. Lets face it, the action is what makes the BTCC so GREAT!
