His dad is loaded and set-up the team for him and added to this the engine has a significant power advantage (due to the regulations)

Yawn Yawn...

Another untalented driver who gets there with Dads money. Sounds a bit like the Wilsons in WRC!

eric, and he was also on a tv dating show, making a fool of himself! but it is still puzzling why his teammate who was ahead on points, was not allowed to win two races that he was easily leading.

Eric, I won't argue that this is most likely down to his Dad's money (isn't he behind the Aon sponsorship) or that TOC deserved all 3 wins.

But, it's harsh.....wrong even to say Chilton is not talented. He's a damn good driver being given a big push along by his Dad

Harsh maybe, but a fair reflection I think.

He has driven for some good teams and never come up with the goods.

But in times like these the BTCC needs all the teams it can get... if the rules are fair and the Ford car is cut back to a fair level, then lets see how they go!

Here's something for all of you to think about! TOC is ahead of Chilton and i think it's a very clever move by team AON! Lets throw something in the mix! There are 3 people ahead of TOC in the championship standings! Shedden Neal and Plato. In the first two races TOC scored more points than either of them did therefore closing the gap! Chilton however was a few places down in the standings so by allowing him to win the first two races he has obviously jumped a couple of places! Now both of their drivers are still in with a chance of the title. Thats what i call good management of your team. I'm not a Chilton, Tom Onslow-Cole or AON fan, but i have to say "it's clever management"

Utter stupidity

TOC has been the better driver all year and was/is better placed for the title, despite having less experience in the car and overall. Hell, Chilton might not be Champion-material, but he still should be fast enough to win on his own... Now all they get are tainted victories, fewer fans, and less of a chance at the points lead

@ KTR

Look in Chilton's history in BTCC on 2 occasions his dad's money has purchased him a drive in teams other than Arena motorsport ( Team he is currently in as in his dads )

VX racing 07 9th overall 0 wins not retained by team even with offer of further sponsorship

Team Dynamics 08 10th overall 1 win by default after other cars were excluded for tech infringements, Not retained by team.

TC is a talented driver to a degree but would he be in BTCC on his own merit if the only drives he can pick up are paid by his dad?
I think not when the likes of current BTCC champ Turkington could not find a place because of teams needing to look at sponsored drivers because of finances

I wonder what TOC and Team Aon would think if they lost the title by the amount of points they have just thrown away?
There's not that many races left and they are circuits where power is not going to be such an advantage. This was a chance to make hay, and Chilton should have taken one for the team.

There is no I in team but there certainly is in Chilton..
