a lot of people get turned off by the tactics employed by some, including those of neal, whose sole aim seems to be to demolish anyone he can. his use of team tactics also stinks. plato is nearly as bad. you feel sorry for drivers like oneil, pinkney etc, who are not given a chance.

well i still personally enjoy watching BTCC. yes it isnt as good as it was in the 90's. but its a lot better than i was in the mid 00's. i agree with comments about the btcc scheduling around other series makes sense, but i dont necessarily think he was referring to F1 and motoGP. but its the tv coverage thats made it struggle more imo. 3 races spread so oddly accross the day, i skip the races in between to watch other stuff. but maybe some sort of highlights at an appropriate time the following weekend wouldnt hurt the championship, especially if it was on itv1, just like the bbc used to do...

I love the BTCC, and find it far more entertaining than F1, plenty of passing, sure it is rough and tumble, but thats part of its magic for me.
A shame they don't repeat the program in the evening on ITV4, as don't always have the time to spend all Sunday afternoon with the TV on.
If I had a choice between F1 grand prix and BTCC, I'd watch BTCC.
Also loved Gears & Tears about F1 stock cars, shame they don't televise some of these, real rough & tumble.

Gow is not referring to F1 or MotoGP, he means smaller race series of bikes and single seaters etc.

I love BTCC, love the passing, love the carnage. Agree the cars could be more interesting though. I enjoy the 3 short races format (and I'm a big fan of snooker, so it's not an attention-deficit thing!) With the cars lining up three times, there's more chance of action as things often happen at the beginning of the race.

You can watch the races afterwards courtesy of the ITV Player!
Go to ITV's website and click on ITV Player at the top. Then search for "Touring Cars" in the box at the top right
