If they had keep Giovanardi for a few meeting and not just the first at Thurxton they would have probably been challenging for the championship and have probably got some more sponsers.

Village bike, like it :-)

Come on lets be fair, everybody has to earn a living and to have Triple8 in the BTCC is goods news as they are still one of the best teams in terms of race preparation. Lets hope they get a manufacturer behind them next year and we can really see what they can do when they have a proper budget and a stable driver line up.
I think "unique" ? the sponsor for the first round was a bit of a one off. They got what they wanted in terms of a top driver and team and then decided not to continue for the rest of the season. It would be great to Fabrizio back in the saddle rather than laying floorboards in Italy.

I must admit i did have a little chuckle to myself when the mighty Vectra was referred to as the "Village Bike" but lets face it she's had many men and boys alike this year! It would be great to see Triple 8 with manufacturer backing next year. As for this year, it's unfortunate that no driver has managed to secure the budget to run it for a good part of the season except James Nash! As for UNIQ? Their reason for pulling out was that they recieved far more exposure than they ever could of expected and they felt that by continuing in the championship they wouldn't be able to supply the demand and that it would do detrimental damage to their company! What did they expect? The BTCC is the BIGGEST tin top series in the country! Lets just hope don't tag onto the BTCC! They are everywhere at the moment and if i hear that song one more time i will kill someone!!!

Shut up about Chilton.... thread is not about him. This year, he has been NOT as good as his team-mate, considering that they have the same car. Over the 27 races, its not a case of bad luck over that many races.... I never really liked T-O-C, but he has matured really weel and is simply doing a better job with the machinery.
