BTCC » Stig: I'm not a target - and I'm racing to win!

Ben Collins - who recently 'outed' himself as The Stig from cult BBC motoring show Top Gear - says he sees no reason why he should be treated any differently to any other driver on his BTCC debut with Airwaves BMW at Brands Hatch

Crash! Don't you think we know who Ben Collins is? Why can't this article be titled without mentioning the bloody Stig?!?!?

We're Motorsport fans, not idiots!

Oh and btw... Plato to win!

What he really needs to do to finally cash in is start a driving school. You can't get much better publicity than all the celebs that said he was an amazing teacher.

It's not too late for him to still make it in touring cars, even prototypes, if he's any good as a racer.

Phil46, he'll be more than a face in the crowd and will easily beat some of the talentless jokers with fat cheque books who fill the BTCC grid at the moment.

Take for example the great Paul 'Sporty Spice's brother' O'Neill, who only managed 2 laps of the weekends 24 hour race at Silverstone before crashing out and retiring the car. Or Andy Neate, the guy has only won a few club races in a Fiesta but thinks he can buy his way to success, which has backfired bady with only 5 points driving for last years champions.

At least Ben Collins has proved himself able to race many different types of cars some of which would be much more difficult to handle than a touring car.

Not a target?!!

It will be a badge of honour for the other drivers to tag him. There won't be a straight panel on the car by the time the day is done.

£10 says he gets involved in an incident which will decide the outcome of the championship...

I say, "Good luck to him"

The further he gets away from the sad, desperate loosers, Mr. Clarkson and Mr. Hammond the better ! ( Notice I didn't name Captain Slow - the only one who doesn't talk cr@p )

Looking forward to 5th Gear now ( the real car show ) !
