What a great story. Hope this works out as many disabilities don't affect people's abilities to do most things. Assumptions are what limits people more than anything else. A lot of ignorant people assume that because you have a disability that you are somehow less of a person which is very rarely the case.

I wish the fella all the best of luck :)

I hope he has lewis's racing aggretion as he will undoubtably get pushed around on the track because of who he is, and gives as good as he gets.

Lets also hope he is there with TCR on merit rather than his name because that would be a taking up an opportunatey for another more talented racer.

good luck to the kid i have a feeling he may need it

Who cares if he is there for who he is? Surely it is remarkable thing that someone with a disability is living their dream? I really wish him well and so what if he is the brother of Lewis Hamilton? Surely that will raise the profile of the Renault Clio Cup and the BTCC? And that can only be a GOOD THING!!

@chris cats i cant believe that a racing supporter would say that. i would rather have a talented driver in there than someone who is there because of his name/fame/money. drivers with raw undeniable talent are being looked over in favour of these people which is ultimately going to lead to the demise of the championship/make a mockery of it atleast. it is meaningless if you are not racing against the best people to be the champion of it.

'I know this will not be an easy task, but I hope that my doing this will give inspiration to others who have challenges in their life.'

Inspiration to others with challenges, and who just happen to have a spare 50k lying around in their bank accounts....

If the system allows people with a spare 50k lying around to race when other talented people, with challenges or not, don't get to race, then that is not the best system.
At the same time, as Nic wants to race and the opportunity is there, should he say "No I won't go for it, that wouldn't be fair" ?
I say good luck to him. If time shows he hasn't got the talent needed...at least he gave it a go.
