Frankly, for me it is excessive intervention. I know Gow wants things equal, but it goes against the spirit of motorsport to strive to be the best. Why do so when those in front of you are going to be held back anyway?

guess anyone who blindly stated that the championship was fair with the clear turbo advantage can be proved wrong by this.
and this isn't just about plato
you telling me o'neil, collard, and mcdowell are suddenly rubbish drivers who can't make the top 10?
the ruling was clearly previosuly unfair
i hope these new rules is enough to give us some proper racing, not people just flying past the others down the straight.

Smart move by the Silverline boys not to spend money designing and building a turbo car.

Much easier to pretend you didn't know Turbo's would be allowed and get the other teams restricted.

Silverline, you had the same amount of time as everybody else to sort a turbo car out, but you didn't.

Should take your punishment.

Where is the reward for building the best car to meet the rules if you are only going to be pegged back again?

Kiko - I think you're missing the point. Why would a team with good manufacturer support want to run a spec engine built by someone else?

The whole point of the level playing field is to allow teams with older cars to continue running and not force them into getting new engines, in the same way as S2000 and BTCC spec cars have been allowed for quite a few years.

As usual Gow has buckled to Plato and his whinging.
After all who won the last race at Thruxton....ah Jason Plato.

Plato should be lauging all the way to his third championship now.

There is a teams championship aswell.

Silverline and Daewoo could have built a turbo car, they haven't. Why spend money when Plato's moaning is free?

Other teams invested money designing and building cars to suit the Turbo engine and are now being handicapped, they deserve a reward for doing the best job - that is the team title.

The Turbo teams have basically thrown away an amount of money bulding the fastest car they can that meets the rules, whilst Silverline Daewoo just kept going with the same car as last year.

"We haven't bothered to develop a car, slow the others down for us.."

I'm actually lolling at Kiko's comment

I love it when people argue something but have zero idea what they are talking about

Keep up the good work kiko, your entertaining me on this otherwise dull and rainy Friday
