Sorry but that sounds like total Bull5hit to me Bootlieb. Firstly, it wouldnt matter if he hit the brake, maybe it was shove first, brake after and IF he checked on the radio, surely thats the sign of a guilty man. Boardman is a nobody in the BTCC but yet he gets away with this, its really not on. In my opinion, these kinds of incidents spoil it for everyone. Lets keep it clean people!

Tom Boardman's race engineer has commented on a well known btcc forum. He explains that the telemtry shows that Tom let off the throttle and actually braked before the incident with Plato in an attempt to avoid any contact. It also shows that he was straight on the radio making sure Jason was OK. So for those of you who were so quick to shoot the guy down, whether you were there or not and whatever you're self righteous opinions and claims may be, this is the truth... ...SO EAT IT

Have to agree that Boardmans shove was out of order really. The biggest loser out of all of this though are the up and coming drivers coming through the ranks. You only have to watch the Ginetta Junior race to see what I mean. Appalling driving standards throughout, can only be blamed on the aspirations of watching the BTCC getting away with it for years.

Recently I haven't been Plato's biggest fan, however, it looks as though Boardman had the intent to take Plato out. If his car is visibly faster than that of the Chevrolet, why not just over take CLEANLY?

I recall there being a battle in the 2nd race between Nash and Plato, but there were no comments that either of them were nudging or rubbing. It was a clean race and Plato got past with Nash following along to the finish line. Something that did not happen in the Boardman incident.

In 2009 Nash had a win taken away from him for taken out Collard, this is where the precedent was set, and therefore Boardman should also have the same punishment.

His restart was ridiculous and had absolutly no respect for any behind him. As a professional racing driver saying 'they should be looking further ahead rather than the car infront' is an outrageous statement, he should know that with a wall of 10 cars infront, you can't possibly see whats going on ahead of the car in front. This caused subs

if boardman was so much quicker than plato why is it then he had to ram him up the back on the straight and the push him off the track to pass him bad driving tom.
also i can see what plat on about regarding the turbo cars how the hell can you race someone when they clearly have an advantage on the straights and that is no way a fair championship

BTCC this year is a complete farce. Turbo mixed with N/a cars and Toca felt it was going to be fair racing or If bourdmans push is classed as ok then god help the championship in the future.

What a fantastic leading UK championship we have now - You can knock/ram/bump/nerf (depending on how you view it) off the guy in front, and that's now alright is it? even to win the race.
Great example to set for the aspiring racers and touring car drivers in the UK. This is sarcastic incidentally.

BTCC officials missed their opportunity to try and eradicate this sort of crass driving from the sport yesterday. Sadly they chose not to. This is Britain's premier motor "racing" championship? i wonder what the rest of the world think? V8 supercars in Oz would send him packing i think.

I won't even voice an opinion on the stopping at the restart at the hairpin.

Beggars belief.
