I don't normally go to the car racing more bikes and wasn't sure what to expect. The cars as expected were definitely slower than the bikes but nonetheless I enjoyed watching them go around the corners on two wheels and the real nose to tail action.
I was watching the racing earlier in the day and watched some guy in a blue chevorlet whom I thought was a nutter which subsequently turned out it to be Plato (although he didn't hit anyone to my knowledge).
I was standing at Duffus Dip and saw the guy take him out he knew exactly what he was doing when he nudged him. Good entertainment value seeing Plato smash the car door in anger on his way off the track but hardly fair I was surprised the guy won in the end.

Anyone who knows Tom knows that he would NEVER do anything like that deliberately. He was obviously driving flat out with his adrenaline pumping overtime and could smell a victory. He needed to stay as close as possible to Platos bumper in order to get a good run at him on the next straight to set up for an overtake move. It was just the slightest of taps which happens all the time. This time, due to the balance of Platos car at this point with the camber of this corner, it had a dramatic effect. Im sure he was also well aware that he needed to get past Plato asap in order to gain as much of a lead as possible over Collard, who was sure to catch him up as his tyres came good. This is probably also the reason why he slowed at the hairpin, to give himself as much of an advantage as possible over the BMW on the restart. He could see a win and he went for it so good for him.

I was there at weekend and I thought the move was fair enough. Plato was clearly on or nearly over the limit long before toms slight rub:). The crowd was more exited about plato going off than they were for gordons win.

I can't believe no action is being taken against boardman: he rammed plato off the track, no question, and that's not motor racing. he even admitted it in the post-race interview ('he was holding me up').plato was penalised for a far less controversial move on neal at the last meeting. 'rubbing' is one thing, but this was in a different league. this sort of thing has to be stopped before someone gets killed.

Boardman was all over Plato right from the start, staying inches from his bumper for 3 laps. (please see the highlights on youtube as viewing these exciting opening laps puts things into perspective more). At the point of the incident, he was even closer and with both drivers taking slightly different lines, the lines crossed and it was the SLIGHTEST of taps that knocked Platos car off balance. To say that he was rammed off is just ridiculous.

What a fantastic leading UK championship we have now - You can knock/ram/bump/nerf (depending on how you view it) off the guy in front, and that's now alright is it? even to win the race.
Great example to set for the aspiring racers and touring car drivers in the UK. This is sarcastic incidentally.

BTCC officials missed their opportunity to try and eradicate this sort of crass driving from the sport yesterday. Sadly they chose not to. This is Britain's premier motor "racing" championship? i wonder what the rest of the world think? V8 supercars in Oz would send him packing i think.

I won't even voice an opinion on the stopping at the restart at the hairpin.

Beggars belief.

BTCC this year is a complete farce. Turbo mixed with N/a cars and Toca felt it was going to be fair racing or If bourdmans push is classed as ok then god help the championship in the future.

if boardman was so much quicker than plato why is it then he had to ram him up the back on the straight and the push him off the track to pass him bad driving tom.
also i can see what plat on about regarding the turbo cars how the hell can you race someone when they clearly have an advantage on the straights and that is no way a fair championship
