From what I can remember he only competed in 3 races with WTCC. Don't think he did a full season.
Just watched the whole pit lane "incident" with Matt Neal on youtube. Matt Neal was wrong to raise his fist BUT the whole episode seems to have been instigated by Plato. ITV only showed a small part of it.
Another thing that is constantly mentioned is the fact that Matt Neal drives in a family team funded by his "daddy". So what? There are lots of drivers out there in Btcc and other racing series who are funded by family. From what I have seen this year Flash and Matt are preference shown to either driver.

I too have just watched it on youtube.
Plato obviously manipulates the media and has Alan Gow worshipping his sphincter but not to take your helmet off when winding someone up shows you to be a real coward.
I would Knock the bloke out anyway.

At the end of the day Plato pushed his way to the front with 3 minutes to go then didn't accelerate out of the corner at the point you would normally, that is the point Neal hit him.If he was driving the lap properly it would be imposable for Mat to hit him coming out of the corner the car in front is always on the gas 1st anyone who doesn't know or understand that understands nothing about racing, then when Plato returned to the pits he screwed two other cars as he went into the pits after exiting the car he gave Mat the finger ye mat was stupid to rise to it but it was p!ss funny to see Plato bottle it when Mats arm went back to smack him.
Its a shame A.G. keeps messing with the riles was nice to see the likes of Jordon and such doing well in early season & its totally wrong for Honda's to be singled out by -0.1 bar for doing a better job

I got put in my place some time ago about the whole 'daddy's team' Honda thing. Apparently Matt works just as hard bringing in money, some of it his, as his dad. I'm more of a plato fan, but i think it's unfair that Honda have come to the party with a 'red bull' of a legal car only to have it's wings clipped time after time. RML/Chevrolet should have done the maths and gone turbo. I also like the way AG has seen the NGTC cars not perform, then reduce their weights to that of a paper bag just to compete.I do rate Wrathall tho, he's had some good drives.

I really don't have a problem about Matt driving for his Dad's team - my point was about him and Flash going for the title and wondering if they will conveniently fire him like last time - which they never explained and was hushed up - or whether he will be allowed to win.
Look at Onslo Cole in Chilton's 'Team' last year - it happens all over.

Why do the Plato knockers all talk about him not progressing but never raise the same about Matt?

Neal and Plato are as bad as each other and at the end of the day AG loves it - look at us now all talking about the series.

I'm not looking for an arguement here and not looking to cause any trouble either but just wanted to say that when Gordon Shedden lost his seat with Dynamics, Matt Neal wasn't driving for the team - it was Dave Pinkney and Flash - who was then replaced by Thompson. Have no idea what happened but Flash wasn't fired because he was beating Matt as Matt wasn't in the team! If they weren't allowed to race each other then I think Flash would have been reigned in long before now and they wouldn't have signed him for next year. Fingers crossed anyway as I am a Flash fan!
