Future Williams' engine supplier
BMW is expected to resume its test programme while the rest of the F1 circus is away in Asia next month.
The German giant, which begins a five-year supply deal with
Williams next season, is thought to have booked the A1-Ring in Austria for its first real track test, having previously run at a private facility in France, and is most likely to run while the championship trail wends its way to Malaysia and Japan. This would mean that test driver Jorg Muller will, once again, be entrusted with the development of BMW's latest V10.
The company has also released photographs of the interim livery adorning its
Williams FW20 test hack. The scheme is redolent of the 1980's BMW-powered Brabhams, with a predominantly blue body and white wings.
BMW points out, however, that the paintwork is unlikely to be the one used on its return next season.
