Team Wilson reaches 1000 in `08.

For the second successive year, the bunch of volunteers known as Team Wilson has taken its 1000th name at a HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship meeting as part of its Motorsport Marshal Recruitment Campaign.

Yvonne McGrotty from Glasgow was rewarded for her interest by receiving a Team Wilson cap, a 2009 season pass to Knockhill kindly donated by the circuit and a pair of specialist sunglasses donated by Iain McKenzie of Xtreme Eyewear, Perth.

Its brings the total so far over the last two years to have signed up Team Wilson to more than 2,300, many of whom have since taken up marshalling.

Team Wilson, made up of marshals Peter, Hilary and Ken Wilson, as well as Ken's partner Maureen Barnes, will be present at the remaining two BTCC meetings looking to add further names to its tally, with its blue gazebo in the paddock at both Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
