The Ginetta Junior title battle will go to the wire this weekend at Brands Hatch as Dino Zamparelli and Tom Carnaby fight it out for the 2008 crown.
Mid-way through the campaign, Zamparelli looked to have one hand on the title but Carnaby has since fought back to close the gap to his rival out front – with a double win at Mallory during the second Ginetta Festival of the year aiding his challenge.
As a result, the pair now head back to Brands Hatch, scene of the season opener, split by just 16 points – although that gap opens up to 25 points once four dropped scores are taken into account.
Josh Hill, son of former F1 champion Damon, is a secure and impressive third in the championship in his rookie year and while he can't improve or be caught in the points standings, the #55 Tollbar racer will be racing all out for his maiden win.
Daniel Lloyd, Jake Farndon, Dominic Pettit, Fergus Walkinshaw and George Richardson are all fighting it out amongst themselves for fourth place in the standings, with Richardson having already won once at Brands Hatch this season.
Pettit was runner-up in round one so has podium experience, while amongst the rest of the contenders, Lloyd has been a race winner this year; Farndon inherited one at Croft and Walkinshaw has had three podiums in the last four races.
