has joined forces with AMD to give fans of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship the chance to give their views on the series.
An online survey, launched today [Monday] will allow fans to give their opinion on a range of topics related to the leading tin-top series, ranging from their favourite teams and drivers to the current S2000 regulations in place in the championship.
The survey will also quiz fans on what makes the BTCC one of the most popular series' around and ask how involvement in the sport has changed the perception of competing brands and sponsors.
As well as providing an insight into the views of BTCC followers, fans participating in the survey will be given the chance to win some fantastic goodies, with the main prize being the actual helmet worn by VX Racing's double-champion Fabrizio Giovanardi to secure the 2008 drivers' title at Brands Hatch. VIP hospitality passes for 2009 race meetings will also be on offer, as well as computing goodies offered by AMD.
“It is important that the fans opinion of the series is taken into consideration, as they are the heartbeat of the championship,” VX Racing team boss Ian Harrison said, having shown his support for the survey by donating the top 'money-can't-buy' prize. “This is especially true as we head into these uncertain economic times, their continued support is absolutely crucial to the sports continued success.”
“We look forward to reviewing their important feedback and taking this data into consideration when we discuss the future of the British Touring Car Championship.”
The survey will be available for a limited time only, with fans invited to give their views as soon as possible to stand a chance of securing the prizes on offer.
“We are pleased to team up with AMD to launch the survey,” Crash.net editor Matt Salisbury said. “We know already that fans of the BTCC are amongst the most fanatical and passionate around, as has been seen in recent years by the rising spectator numbers and the impressive TV viewing figures.
“It will be interesting to see the feedback they provide ahead of another exciting campaign in 2009.”
