Richard Coleman says he is 'full of confidence' in securing a strong partner for Harry Vaulkhard for the 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship season.
Coleman's Tempus Sport team will make its debut in the series this year with a brace of Chevrolet Lacettis, and has already run both Rob Huff and James Thompson during pre-season testing as it plans for the season ahead.
While Huff is already committed to Chevrolet's WTCC programme, with his run in the car coming about thanks to the relationship with RML, Thompson is still very much a free agent and has also tested with Team Dynamics and Motorbase over the winter.
While the former champion continues to be linked with the team, Coleman himself refused to name any drivers but said that discussions were continuing with some 'interesting' names for the season ahead.
“If I had a pound for every time I'm asked who else would be in the car, I'd be able to afford to go racing myself,” he said. “We're continuing to talk to some interesting names and also prospective sponsors, even in these difficult economic times, so I'm full of confidence that we will have a very strong line-up when we go to Brands for the start of the season.”
