The new Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing team has taken the covers off the SEAT Leon it will campaign for its first season in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship this season.
The team will field bio-fuelled cars for Adam Jones and Dan Eaves during the 2009 campaign, with Jones looking to build on an impressive 2008 performance with Team Aircool and Eaves making a welcome return to the series for the first time since 2005.
The pair are set to get the chance to drive the cars for the first time in a test session ahead of the annual media day at Rockingham later his month, when the team will get the first chance to go up against its rivals for the year ahead.
“I can't wait to get back on the grid,” Eaves admitted. “I've been away since the end of 2005 but the BTCC has always been where I've wanted to be and I'm raring to get back into it. It's a new squad but they are all fiercely determined.
“Hopefully as the season progresses, Adam and I can become a thorn in the sides of the established big hitting teams. One thing is for sure – with our cars' livery they'll know we're coming!”
Eaves is currently the only man to have won all three races on race day since the BTCC implemented its current weekend format.
