Team RAC driver Stephen Jelley has scooped his second HiQ Champagne Moment of the season following his double win at Rockingham.
Jelley has already received the champagne moment award once this season, when he secured three podium finishes at Croft in the opening half of the season.
The former F3 driver polled a massive 65 per cent of fans' votes with Tom Chilton second with 21 per cent following a first podium for Team Aon. Mat Jackson was third with seven per cent of votes.
“To win the HiQ Champagne Moment once is nice, but twice is especially pleasing, and gives me something to remember my performance by,” Jelley said. “It was a magical feeling winning the first BTCC races of my career and it is lovely to see that fans have thought of me once again.”
BTCC fan Matthew Wabe, of Thetford, was picked at random to win a bottle of champagne and he will now win a pair of tickets to the final round of the season, where he will present Jelley with his prize.
“My vote went to Stephen because he was majestic in winning two of the three races at Rockingham,” he said. “He's an exceptional talent and I can't wait to present him with his prize.”
Jelley will be the final winner of the Champagne Moment during the 2009 season.
