HiQ group managing director Mark Brickhill says that company is delighted to be extending its relationship with the British Touring Car Championship for the 2010 season.

Having been title sponsors for the past two years, HiQ will take up a role of sponsor of the Teams' Championship through to the end of the 2013 campaign, with sister company Dunlop returning as title backer.

The move comes a year earlier than planned after the title sponsorship deal proved successful in helping HiQ in its plan to increase its profile across the UK.

HiQ will also continue to run the popular Champagne Moment during 2010, which gives fans the chance to vote for their top driver for each meeting during the season.

"We re-launched the HiQ network in 2008 with the signing of new franchise stores, a new impactful visual identity and a plan to set new standards of service in the fast-fit market," Brickhill said. "Our BTCC sponsorship has helped achieve these goals and the extension of our investment to include the HiQ Team Championship for four years will help drive our ambitions for the network in the tyre fitting and servicing market."

BTCC Series Director Alan Gow said he was delighted that HiQ's use of the championship had proved to be a success, adding that he was excited by the prospect of working closely with both HiQ and Dunlop again during 2010.

"I'm absolutely delighted that we are able to continue our extremely close relationship with both Dunlop and HiQ for another four years," he said, "making it one of the most successful and enduring major sponsorships in the BTCC and, indeed, British motor sport."
