Eurotech to offer Ginetta Junior prize drive

BTCC test up for grabs to the driver who clinches the 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship
Eurotech Racing and Ginetta have entered into an agreement that will see the 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship title winner given a test in Andrew Jordan's new Vauxhall Vectra.

Jordan will run the Vectra under the Pitek Racing banner in this season's Dunlop MSA british Touring Car Championship, with the car being one of the first to run with the new NGTC engine this season.

Under the terms of the agreement with Ginetta, the Junior title winner will test the Vectra at the end of the season and also receive a day of tuition with the former VX Racing ace.

“I have always been a long-time supporter of Ginetta's championships – Andrew had a G20 when he was 15, before the days of the Ginetta Junior Championship and has gone on to major success with BTCC,” Jordan's father Mike, the Eurotech team principal, said. “I feel confident that with the right ingredients, we can help another young driving star achieve their racing ambitions.

“Andrew is incredibly excited about mentoring the new champion in the Vauxhall Vectra which was unveiled at Autosport International last month and I'm delighted to be cementing our incredibly strong relationship with Lawrence and the Ginetta team.”

Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson added that he was delighted with the new incentive being offered to drivers in the Junior series, which will introduce the new G40 model during the 2010 season.

“The chance to test a BTCC car is a phenomenal prize and we're proud to be able to offer this in association with Andrew, Mike and Pirtek Racing. The combination of the Jordan's sheer racing experience coupled with Pirtek's new high powered Vectra, means that this is a huge incentive for all Ginetta Junior competitors to go all out for the championship.”

Andrew and Mike Jordan ran together in selected Britcar events with a Ginetta G50 last season.

This is an excellent incentive for all the Ginetta Junior drivers to aim for plus an opportunity to show off their talents, - lets hope all the G40s are ready for the season start and the playing field is level!!
