RML has begun testing with the Chevrolet Cruze at Oulton Park ahead of the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Jason Plato hit the track at the Cheshire circuit this morning [Tuesday], while the team is also due to test at the venue again tomorrow.
RML made its return to the series last season running the Lacetti for Plato, Mat Jackson and James Nash – with Plato and Jackson teaming together under the Racing Silverline banner – and has been looking to switch to the Cruze this season.
The team already runs the Cruze in the WTCC for the factory Chevrolet team, with off-season speculation suggesting that a BTCC effort could possibly run under the Chevrolet UK banner.
However, RML could yet elect to continue with the Lacetti again in 2010 after it proved to be the car to beat during the latter stages of 2009.
Clio Cup racer Alex MacDowall is the current favourite to partner Plato during the year ahead.
RML are one of a number of teams testing in Cheshire this week.
