Nash joins 888

James Nash will take over the race-winning 888 Vauxhall from round two at Rockingham.

James Nash has signed a deal to return to the British Touring Car Championship in one of the hottest seats of the 2010 campaign so far.

The former Chevrolet driver inked contract to join ex-Vauxhall 'factory' team - and multiple champions - 888 Racing, taking over the car which 2008 champion Fabrizio Giovanardi took to victory in the first two rounds in this year's series at Thruxton two weeks ago.

“Missing the first few races whilst we sorted the deal out obviously means that I will be playing catch-up, but I'm looking forward to racing at the front and making a fight of the championship,” Nash commented.

The Briton, who raced a third RML-run Chevrolet Lacetti in 2009, winning a race before being excluded for contact with Airwaves BMW's Rob Collard, will make his 888 debut at Rockingham next weekend [24-25 April].
