Steven Kane has his sights set on fighting for his second Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship win in as many meetings as the series heads to Rockingham this weekend for the second round of the year.

Kane took his first win in the BTCC in the final race of the weekend at Thruxton, leading team-mate Mat Jackson to the chequered flag as Airwaves BMW picked up a 1-2 finish.

Having admitted that Thruxton isn't a circuit that suits the BMW 320si, Kane heads to Rockingham in confident mood although he was quick to point out that anything could happen when the cars hit the track.

"I'm not getting carried away because I know how quickly fortunes can turn in the BTCC, but on paper Thruxton is the worst track for the BMW so to win there and so early in the season was above expectations," he said. "The lay-out of the Rockingham circuit will mean that different types of cars - BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, SEAT, Vauxhall and VW - come into their own on different sections so it could get very interesting.

"If you're in the grandstands at Rockingham this Sunday you're going to get more than your money's worth."
