Matt Neal moved to the head of the times during the second Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship free practice session at Croft.
Despite carrying maximum on his Honda Civic thanks to his position as championship leader, Neal posted a quickest time of 1min 25.430secs during the session to outpace team-mate Gordon Shedden at the top of the times. Paul O'Neill ensured a Honda 1-2-3 with the third quickest time at the wheel of his sunshine.co.u Integra.
Alex MacDowall was fourth ahead of Chevrolet team-mate Jason Plato with the BMW of Rob Collard rounding out the top six.
A number of drivers ran off track during the session, with Lea Wood and Arthur Forster both spinning on the entry to the complex. Shaun Hollamby saw his session end early when he went off at Clervaux and got stuck in the gravel.
Tom Boardman meanwhile was back on track following his earlier issues and was 13th quickest after the Special Tuning UK team fixed an oil leak on his car.
