Brands Hatch Leyland Lovelies announced!

Leyland Paints has revealed the two new 'Leyland Lovelies' who will be adding a smile and a dash of colour to Airwaves BMW's efforts in the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship finale at Brands Hatch this weekend...
Like a modern-day Fairy Godmother, leading trade paint brand Leyland has waved its magic wand to turn the dreams of two aspiring grid girls into reality after they triumphed in Leyland's 'Be A Leyland Lovely For The Day' competition.

Amanda Wheal and Louise Mayhew fought off strong competition from four other finalists to come out on top and win the opportunity to strut their stuff on the grid for leading Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) outfit Airwaves BMW at the season finale at Brands Hatch this weekend.

All eyes will be on the team over the course of the weekend as Ben Collins – formerly know as Top Gear's 'Stig' – will be lining up on the grid to join regular drivers Steven Kane and Mat Jackson in the third Airwaves BMW car.

“The competition initially opened in July and attracted a huge number of entries,” revealed Leyland brand manager Nicki Hickman, “so it is testament to Amanda and Louise that they came out on top. They fully deserve their places on the grid alongside our Leyland Lovelies Tina and Sophie, and we're as excited about having them as they undoubtedly are!”

Keep your eyes peeled on Leyland's dedicated racing website at www.leylandracing.com for all the reports and images from what promises to be an eye-catching weekend both on and off the track!

Didn't Amanda Wheal win the "Be a Team AON Grid Girl for the day" thing last year? If I remember she only won because she had her marshal friends behind her (I'm a regular on the 10-tenths forum and there was a fricking announcement on there telling everyone to vogte for her). Isn't it a bit... weird that a 30 year old woman is so obsessed with being a grid girl? mid-life crisis? Or something? Shouldn't she give the young girls who's life ambitions are to wear tight latex, show skin and turn the lads on a chance?
