ITV has extended its deal to provide live coverage of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for three more years, starting in 2011.

The new deal will also see the series shown in High Definition for the first time through the ITV HD channel, which will offer viewers the chance to enhance their viewing experience.

"ITV's coverage of and enthusiasm for the BTCC has grown year on year and is clearly demonstrated by the fact we are jointly able to announce this terrific news some six months before our 2011 season even starts," series boss Alan Gow said. "ITV continues to provide the BTCC with fantastic free-to-air TV broadcasting that is the great envy of the sport.
