4 - Matt Neal

With Vauxhall's departure from the BTCC at the end of the 2009 season, there was little surprise when Matt Neal returned to the family-run Team Dynamics outfit, but it was Honda's decision to finally come onboard that ensured a strong 2010 campaign.

With the Honda Civic undergoing radical changes over the winter, Neal was on the pace from the outset and headed the championship standings at the half-way point of the season after a double win at Rockingham was followed by success at Oulton Park.

A double win at Snetterton for rival Jason Plato saw Neal drop behind the Chevrolet driver in the standings but from that point onwards, the two-time champion refused to give up as he took wins at Knockhill and Donington to remain in contention for the crown on Finals Day.

Although he couldn't stop Plato taking the title at Brands Hatch, Neal made it 13 podium finishes for the season with two more top three finishes and with Honda switching to a turbo engine for 2011, he will be firmly amongst the contenders for the championship crown.
